I'm Julie Dawson, sober since December 2019, married to my soul mate, Mum to two quirky 'kids' (21 and 17!) plus three fur babies. I live in Mossley on the Saddleworth/ Tameside border and love this beautiful part of the country and being out with my dogs in the fresh air. I recently attended Bee Wild which was an amazing experience and I've come away with a love of drumming, solo camping and wild swimming! I also enjoy reading in cafes, art journalling, mixed media art, visiting new places and seeing new things and generally living my best sober life. I'm a breast cancer survivor, Goth, LGBTQI+ ally and love my full on crazy sober life. Sobriety has helped me realise many goals and my current one is to lose six stone, get fit and take on more challenges - all inspired by other Bee Sober members. I don't usually look like this but the photo shoot at Whitby Goth Weekend made me feel good so I'm using it anyway!!!
